Cindy L. Cate resides in Iola, Wisconsin. This quaint, rural town is known for its annual car show. Cindy spends her leisure time gardening, reading, relaxing in the pool with her husband, and hanging out with family. She adores her adult sons Nate, Neziah, and Malachi. Thus, her first and most rewarding career was a full-time mother. During this time, Cindy earned a BS in Special Education and an MSE with a literacy emphasis. She enjoyed teaching at various grade levels as a learning disabilities teacher, reading teacher and specialist. Cindy is involved in traveling to Managua, Nicaragua as part of an education literacy team. In 2012, she completed her EdD in Educational Leadership from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. Her current research interest focuses on college professors’ and preservice teachers’ perceptions of high stakes testing. Presently, Cindy is an Associate Reading Professor at UW-Stevens Point.
